Hello! Im Nikki B.

So, let me tell you a bit about myself :)

I’m just your regular Momma, you know? I grew up moving around a lot, living in different states across the US. But my teenage years were mostly in Illinois.

From an early age, I always had this natural ability to connect with children and animals. Taking care of little ones seemed to come second nature to me, even when I was just a child myself (laughs).

School, though, was a different story. I struggled a lot, mostly because I was a sensitive soul with high anxiety who couldn’t understand other kiddos behaviors. On top of that, I had some rough experiences with teachers, which made high school quite lonely and confusing.

But you know what?

Those tough times ignited a fire in me to make a difference in children’s lives.

So, when I went to college and started my general education studies, I got fascinated with psychology, sociology, child psychology, and child growth & development. Understanding how and why humans think and feel really captivated me.

After college, I got a caregiving job at a daycare. That’s when things started to click for me. I saw how children were affected by their environment and interactions, and I was determined to help them as much as I could.

But here’s the thing, most daycares were making decisions based on business stuff, not necessarily what was best for the kids. And that didn’t sit right with me.

I ended up working in a few daycare settings across different states, and each one had its own set of issues that concerned me. That’s when I started paying special attention to those kids who were labeled as having “behavioral problems.” I was immediately drawn to them.

While others might have found it frustrating or challenging, I wanted to dig deeper into their thoughts and feelings to understand why they behaved the way they did. It was like they needed someone to really listen and understand them on a deeper level.

Eventually, all this experience made me shift my path.

At first, I wanted to become a teacher and change lives that way...

But after seeing all the bureaucracy, regulations, and politics involved, I knew that wouldn’t let me do what was best for the kids.

So, I decided to start my own home daycare. I wanted to create an environment where each child’s unique needs were catered to, without all the red tape.

Now, let me fast forward a bit. I became a mom myself, and I thought I had everything figured out. I mean, I had so much experience with kids, right? But boy, was I in for a surprise when my sensitive-spirited boy was born (laughs).

All my previous knowledge seemed to go out the window, and I found myself struggling with parenting stress like never before. None of the techniques and methods I knew worked with my own child, and I felt lost and overwhelmed.

That’s when I started diving back into my research on child psychology, teaching, and development. I tried everything I could think of, from positive parenting to old-fashioned methods, but nothing seemed to make a real difference.

And here’s the crazy part...

It hit me one day that our children are direct mirrors of our own internal states. They pick up on our emotions and thoughts and reflect them back at us. It was like a lightbulb moment.

So, I started focusing on my own inner work, exploring positive mindset and manifestation. But that alone didn’t do the trick either. I needed to find a balance, a way to focus on both my child’s needs and my own inner state at the same time.

Through a lot of trial and error, I finally found the right combination – my Trifecta of Focus Framework, as I like to call it. And you know what? It works like magic!

Our home dynamic shifted, and we started having more peaceful and joyful moments together. Parenting stress became more manageable, and I felt more connected with my son.

And guess what?

I started sharing my methods with other parents who were going through similar struggles, and they saw the same amazing progress.

So, that’s how my passion for helping families really took off. I want to be there for parents who feel overwhelmed, stressed, and guilty because I’ve been there myself. I know how tough it can be, and I don’t want anyone else to feel the way I did.

Now, I’m all about providing support, tools, and tips to fellow parents, so they can experience the joy and connection that parenting is meant to bring. It’s not about being the perfect parent or having it all figured out. It’s about finding that balance and creating meaningful moments with our kiddos.

So, if you or anyone you know is going through a tough time with parenting, I’m here to lend a listening ear and share what I’ve learned on this crazy journey. Let’s support each other and make this parenting adventure a little less overwhelming, shall we?
